Founded in 2006 primarily offering IT Support and based in Ely, Cambridgeshire, Cambridge Helpdesk now provides a range of IT, Telecoms and Web related services to businesses throughout Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, Hertfordshire, London, Hampshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Bedfordshire.
Owned and run by brothers Stuart and Danny Brown the business was founded by Stuart in 2006 following a 20 year career in IT management. Our business and the service we provide is based on the same principals used by corporate IT departments, just because a business is small doesn’t mean corners should be cut when it comes to IT and security.
Outsourced IT Support is our primary service and we aim to become part of our client’s organisation, providing first line IT support for staff and users through to strategic IT advice to senior managers and business owners.
Cambridge Helpdesk also provides Web Design, Website Hosting, DNS management, Email Management, Hosting Exchange mail and support and advice on all matters relating to the internet, email and the web. We design websites, host email and host websites while also advising on software based systems using the web. We also have a range of Cloud based solutions including Cloud based Email (Hosted Exchange), Cloud based backup (online backup), Cloud based file sharing and Cloud shared data (CHD Cloud Team share) and Cloud based telephony (Hosted VoIP).
IT Security has many elements, the most well-known being Antivirus and we work with Eset, Kaspersky and F-Secure. We provide Email management, SPAM Management, Mail Filtering and Email Business Continuity and in addition we work in partnership with one of Europe’s largest IT Security companies to offer our customers IP Penetration testing, Port scanning and Network intrusion prevention.
IT Network design and Server installation is key for us when building long term relationships. We work with leading brand hardware suppliers, Dell, HP and Apple and are experts in all Microsoft server and PC based software solutions. We can supply the server hardware, install and configure your new server and support and maintain your network and server once installed.
We can supply and manage a straight forward PBX phone system through to a fully integrated VoIP and IPPBX system. Many of our clients take our award winning broadband service which is provided on a 30 day rolling contract so no long contracts to sign up to.
