Using Contacts from Public Folders
Solution
If you have a Contact List in a Public Folder here's how to select a contact from that list.
1. With an email message open click on the 'To...' button
2. This will open a 'Select Names' window
3. On the top right hand side click on the drop down list labelled - 'Show Names from the:'
4. Choose the name of your public folder
5. All the addresses will be listed in the window below.
6. Highlight the names and choose if you want them to go into the 'To', 'Cc' or 'Bcc' fields below.
If you want the Public Folder Address Book to be your default address book, follow these steps:
Outlook 2003:-
1. From the Tools menu, select Address Book... . The Address Book will open in a new window.
2. In the new Address Book window, from the Tools menu, select Options... .
3. Under "Show this address list first:", use the scroll-down menu to select the appropriate listing (i.e., Personal Address Book, Global Address Book, or Outlook Address Book).
4. To save the changes, click Apply.
5. To exit, click OK.
Outlook 98 and 2000:-
1. From the Tools menu, select Services... , then click the Addressing tab.
2. Under "Show this address list first:", use the scroll-down menu to select the appropriate listing (i.e., Personal Address Book, Global Address Book, or Outlook Address Book).
3. To save the changes, click Apply.
4. To exit, click OK.
